Al-Isnad is an ijazah accredited 5-6 year study programme which aims to familiarise students with major authentic Islamic works. We want to ensure that through this programme we educate individuals and help them in developing themselves as well-rounded and grounded students.

We aim to continue the centuries old tradition of learning from classical texts for our future imams and provide an opportunity to those individuals who may not be able to study abroad at Islamic institutions.

We’re a volunteer-powered organisation, from across the UK, united by a passion to provide transformational teaching to every single student. This is a voluntary role.

A video transcriber is responsible for converting spoken language into written text, creating a written record of the spoken content in a video. This role is essential for various purposes, such as making videos accessible to individuals with hearing impairments, creating subtitles for videos, and generating textual content for search engine optimization. The job description for a video transcriber typically includes the following responsibilities and qualifications:


  1. Transcription:
    Accurately transcribe spoken content from video and audio files into written text. This may involve listening to various accents, dialects, and languages.
  2. Quality Assurance: Ensure the accuracy and completeness of transcriptions by reviewing and editing transcripts as needed. Correct errors, clarify ambiguous statements, and ensure that the text accurately reflects the spoken words.
  3. Timeliness:
    Meet deadlines for transcription projects, especially when working with time-sensitive content such as news, events, or live broadcasts.
  4. Confidentiality:
    Maintain strict confidentiality and handle sensitive information appropriately, particularly when transcribing content related to private or confidential matters.
  5. Communication:
    Communicate effectively with clients, colleagues, or supervisors to clarify instructions, address concerns, and provide updates on the progress of transcription projects.
