Creed Series – Part 2

OVERVIEW:

The Creed Series II is a two day course covering a number of classical works on theology. It will cover some of the most classical and Aqeedah works. These works help a Muslim to understand their correct belief.

Books We Will be covering

1. Usul al-Sunnah by Imam Ahmad (narration of Abdus)
2. Shu’ab al-Iman by Ibn Kathir
3. Poem Haa’iyah of Ibn Abi Dawud

WHAT WE WILL COVER:

• A full reading of the books in Arabic with English translation
• A brief commentary on each book discussing the major points
• A look at the narrators of hadith where applicable
• An ijazah (chain of transmission) to the authors for in-person attendance

DAY ONE:

• Session 1: 10am – Dhuhr
• Lunch Break
• Session 2: 2:30 – 4:30
• Break
• Session 3 – till Asr

• You MUST pre-register for overnight stay
• You will need to provide your own sleeping materials (blanket, sleeping bag etc.).
• The Masjid will provide a basic breakfast.
